What is wave interference?

Interference occurs when two waves meet and combine to form a new wave pattern, either constructively or destructively.

What is wave reflection?

Wave reflection is the bouncing back of a wave when it hits a barrier.

Explain wave refraction.

Wave refraction is the bending of waves as they enter a different medium.

Describe wave diffraction.

Wave diffraction is the bending and spreading out of waves around obstacles and through openings.

What causes standing waves?

Standing waves are formed when two waves of the same frequency and amplitude, traveling in opposite directions, meet and interfere.
