What is Kirchhoff's Current Law?

The sum of current entering a node or a point must be equal to the sum of current leaving that node or point.

What is Kirchhoff's Voltage Law?

The sum of voltage around a closed loop must be zero.

What is Ohm's Law?

Ohm's Law states that the current flowing through a conductor between two points is directly proportional to the voltage across the two points.

How do you calculate the total resistance in a series circuit?

You add up all the individual resistances.

How do you calculate the total resistance in a parallel circuit?

You use the formula 1/Rt = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3 + ...

What is the power formula for a DC circuit?

P = VI or P = I^2 * R or P = V^2 / R

What does a current source provide in a circuit?

A current source provides a constant current regardless of the voltage across its terminals.

What does a voltage source provide in a circuit?

A voltage source provides a constant voltage regardless of the current flowing through it.

What is the formula to calculate the total current in a parallel circuit?

The sum of the individual currents in each branch of the circuit.

What are the units for resistance, voltage, and current?

Resistance is measured in ohms (Ω), voltage is measured in volts (V), and current is measured in amperes (A).

What is a series circuit?

A circuit in which the components are connected end to end, so that the current has only one path to follow.

What is a parallel circuit?

A circuit in which the components are connected in a way that the current has multiple paths to follow.

What is a resistor?

A resistor is an electrical component that resists the flow of electrical current.

What is a capacitor?

A capacitor is an electrical component that stores electrical energy in an electric field.

What is a battery?

A battery is an electrical component that stores and provides electrical energy by converting chemical energy into electrical energy.
