What is population distribution?

The pattern of where people live on Earth.

What factors influence population distribution?

What is dispersed population distribution?

What are some examples of sparsely populated areas?

Deserts, mountains, and regions with low population density.

What are the push and pull factors of population distribution?

Push factors are reasons people leave an area, while pull factors are reasons people move to a new area.

What is migration?

The movement of people from one place to another, either within a country or across borders.

What is urbanization?

The process of an increasing proportion of a country's population living in urban areas.

What is suburbanization?

The process of people moving from cities to suburbs, resulting in the growth of suburban areas.

What is counter-urbanization?

The process of people moving from urban areas to rural areas.

What is a megacity?

A city with a population of over 10 million people.
