What is motion?

Motion is the change in position of an object with respect to its surroundings.

What is the difference between speed and velocity?

Speed is the distance traveled by an object in unit time whereas velocity is the displacement of an object in unit time.

What is acceleration?

Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity with respect to time.

What is the formula for average velocity?

Average velocity = Total displacement/Change in time

What is the first law of motion?

The first law of motion states that an object will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless acted upon by an external force.

What is the second law of motion?

The second law of motion states that the rate of change of momentum of an object is proportional to the force applied and takes place in the direction in which the force is applied.

What is the third law of motion?

The third law of motion states that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

What is the difference between distance and displacement?

Distance is the path traveled by an object whereas displacement is the change in position of an object with respect to its starting point.

What is projectile motion?

Projectile motion is the motion of an object that is thrown or projected into the air and then allowed to follow a path determined entirely by the influence of gravity and air resistance.

What is uniform circular motion?

Uniform circular motion is the motion of an object in a circle at a constant speed.

What are the different types of motion?

The different types of motion are translational motion, rotational motion, and vibrational motion.

What is mechanics?

Mechanics is the branch of physics that deals with the study of motion, forces, and energy.

What is graphing motion?

Graphing motion is the method of representing motion using graphs such as distance-time and velocity-time graphs.

Give an example of motion in daily life.

Examples of motion in daily life include walking, running, riding a bicycle, driving a car, throwing a ball, and jumping.

What is kinematics?

Kinematics is the branch of mechanics that deals with the study of motion without considering the causes of motion.
