The extent to which a patient takes medications as prescribed by their healthcare provider.

What is a drug interaction?

When one drug affects the pharmacokinetics or pharmacodynamics of another drug.

What is off-label drug use?

The use of a drug for a purpose that is not approved by the regulatory authorities.

What is the placebo effect?

The phenomenon in which a patient experiences a benefit from an inactive treatment due to their belief in its efficacy.
