What is force?

Force is a push or a pull that can cause an object to move, stop, or change direction.

What are Newton's three laws of motion?

Newton's first law states that an object at rest tends to stay at rest and an object in motion tends to stay in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an external force. Newton's second law states that the acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the net force applied to the object and inversely proportional to its mass. Newton's third law states that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

What is inertia?

Inertia is the tendency of an object to resist changes in its motion. An object with a larger mass has more inertia.

What is the formula for calculating force?

The formula for calculating force is force = mass × acceleration.

What is the unit of force?

The unit of force is Newton (N).

What is the difference between balanced and unbalanced forces?

Balanced forces are forces that are equal in magnitude and opposite in direction, resulting in no change in the object's motion. Unbalanced forces are forces that are not equal in magnitude or opposite in direction, resulting in a change in the object's motion.

What is the concept of action-reaction pair of forces?

The concept of action-reaction pair of forces states that for every action force, there is an equal and opposite reaction force.

What is the relationship between force, mass, and acceleration?

The relationship between force, mass, and acceleration is described by Newton's second law of motion. Force is directly proportional to the mass of an object and its acceleration.

What is the role of friction in motion?

Friction is a force that opposes the motion of objects in contact. It can either slow down or prevent motion.

What is the significance of the law of conservation of momentum?

The law of conservation of momentum states that the total momentum of a closed system remains constant if no external forces act on it. It is important in understanding the transfer and conservation of momentum in various collisions and interactions.

What are examples of forces in everyday life?

Examples of forces in everyday life include pushing a door, kicking a ball, pulling a cart, and gravity pulling objects towards the Earth.

What is the difference between mass and weight?

Mass is the amount of matter in an object and is constant. Weight is the force exerted on an object due to gravity and can vary depending on the location.

How does Newton's third law of motion explain the working of a rocket?

Newton's third law of motion explains the working of a rocket by stating that the action force of the ignited gases being expelled downwards creates a reaction force that propels the rocket upwards.

What is the relationship between force and acceleration?

The relationship between force and acceleration is described by Newton's second law of motion. Force is directly proportional to the acceleration of an object.

What are the different types of forces?

The different types of forces include gravitational force, applied force, normal force, frictional force, tension force, spring force, and air resistance force.

What is the role of force in circular motion?

In circular motion, force is required to change the direction of an object's velocity and keep it moving in a circular path. This force is called centripetal force.
